MACKAY - Celebrating 150 Years!
As part of the region's sesquicentenary celebrations, Mackay Tourism in partnership with Mackay Regional Council, have compiled and produced the 'Mackay Celebrates Heritage Hotels and Perennial Pubs' brochure (download below). The anniversary commemorates the establishment of Captain John Mackay's camp at Greenmount in January 1862, and gives us all an opportunity to celebrate and reflect on what it means to live in this great place. It's a chance to reflect on our past, celebrate our people and our places.
