Held on the stunning Cape Hillsborough National Park beach frontage that is famous for it's wallabies at dawn and the cheeky kangaroos the annual Blokart Regatta is a site to behold! The eighth annual Regatta will see karts flying across the sand up to and over 100 kilometres per hour! Many visitors stop to watch, photograph and chat to the friendly Blokart sailors who are always more than happy to answer the questions that visitors tend to ask. There are no spectator entry fees at this event and visitors are also welcome to partake of the sausage sizzle and drinks stall which will be operating on the beach throughout the day.The club also sets up several large gazebos on the beach and if there is room to spare in the shade; visiting spectators are welcome to set up their folding chairs in these areas. It could well be said that it has achieved iconic status in the eyes of Queensland’s Blokarting community. This is not only because of the magical location in which it is staged but also because of the meticulous planning that goes into the event and the highly professional manner in which it is run.
