The Mackay Triathlon Festival takes place at the beautiful Mackay Harbour (Mackay Surf Club) on the North Queensland Coast. It hosts the Queensland Country Health Fund Corporate Teams Triathlon which is a community event promoting teamwork, a healthy workforce, health and well-being and maintaining a work/life balance. The event is an opportunity for workmates or friends to participate in a social atmosphere outside of the workplace, while promoting a healthy, active lifestyle. They encourage you to get a team together and start training for this event which takes place over the Festival weekend in September. The distance is 400 metre swim, 13 kilometre cycle and 3.5 kilometre run. This is a team based event with Corporate, Social and Junior/School team categories.
