Enjoy fine food, street performers, their ‘countdown-inspired’ live radio broadcast, or reminisce Elton John in concert on the 3mx4m digital screen. Show them your Elton-inspired fashion style and enter the best-dressed competition for a chance to win some amazing prizes. Mark the occasion with a photo from the free Elton John-themed photobooth, or take your own photo at the quirky photoboard cut-out. Kids can enjoy the free face-painting and craft activities, and afterwards you can wander through Mackay City Centre and explore the hidden treasures left by our heritage listed and art deco buildings - you might even find yourself at the Port of Mackay's Caneland Central Duck Derby at Bluewater Quay from 2pm and watch the rubber ducky's race for charity right here in our Pioneer River.
