Cape Hillsborough & Hibiscus Coast

Cape Hillsborough and Hibiscus Coast

Teeming with an abundance of native beauty, Cape Hillsborough and the Hibiscus Coast, approximately 50KM north of Mackay. A star attraction is the rugged natural paradise of Cape Hillsborough National Park, where dense rainforest meets the ocean and volcanic rock formations add to the almost pre-historic ambience.

The closest thing to a crowd here is the group of agile wallabies and Eastern Grey kangraroos that fossick in the morning tides at sunrise, the perfect chance to capture that 'ultimate Australian' photo.

The park is scattered with walking trails including bush walks through rainforests teeming with tiger blue butterflies, walking the barnacle encrusted rocks to Wedge Island or exploring the vine strewn rainforest of Hidden Valley.
