Pioneer Valley & Eungella

A wonderland of waterfalls, lush flora and volcanic boulder formations contrast against a tapestry of sugar cane fields as you head through the Pioneer Valleyinto Eungella National Park.

Getting to Eungella National Park is an adventure in itself. The Pioneer Valley is the gateway to Eungella, and encompasses many rural townships and sights to see along the way.

DID YOU KNOW? Eungella National Park is Australia's longest stretch of sub-tropical rainforest?

Within the Pioneer Valley, walk the well-formed tracks to the Araulen Cascades or Wheel of Fire waterfalls at Finch Hatton Gorge and take a refreshing dip in the freshwater swimming holes. Once up in Eungella, walk the banks of Broken River to see a platypus in its natural environment.

There are a multitude of ways to get back to nature in the Pioneer Valley and Eungella National Park. Enjoy a coffee overlooking the canefields in Pinnacle, take in the rainforest canopy of the rainforest on a zipline adventure or experience the best of the rainforest and an aussie bush camp on a guided tour.

Other points of interest include fishing at Kinchant, Teemburra or Eungella Dam, visiting places of historical importance like Melba House in Marian and browsing interesting artifacts at Mirani Museum.
