The annual Mackay Tourism and Hospitality Expo will take place on 22 May 2012 at the Mackay Entertainment and Convention Centre. This annual event presents an opportunity for school leavers and job seekers alike to explore the diverse range of opportunities found within these two close knit professions. It is also a major opportunity to showcase your products and services to our regional community.
This year we have partnered with Comcater, an industrial supply chain of high quality commercial kitchen equipment from leading manufacturers from all over the world. Comcater is the market leader within its field and will attract a commercial standard of exhibitor and industrial clientele to this year's expo. With over 50 trade booth exhibitors, highly regarded speakers, taste testing, cooking demonstrations, cocktail demonstrations and massive prize giveaways, the 2012 expo promises not to disappoint!

Mackay-Isaac Region Tourism Awards 2012

Mackay Tourism is proud to again stage the Tourism and Hospitality Awards to encourage, foster and recognise excellence in our region's visitor industry. The Awards will be judged in late July and presented at 'an evening in the outback' in Nebo on Friday 3 August.
This year, Mackay Tourism is delighted to announce that Mackay Airport has agreed to be the naming rights sponsor of the 2012 awards.
Tourism is a cornerstone of the Queensland economy and a hugely competitive industry globally. Our regional Tourism Awards aim to encourage our businesses to strive for excellence and thus, competitive strength. The winners will be justly proud to promote their success over their peers!

Brisbane Caravan & Camping Show: 6 - 12 June 2012
It's Caravan and Camping Show season - and your opportunity to showcase your product to an important market for Mackay! The Caravan, Camping and Touring Show Holiday Shows have proven to be a highly successful marketing opportunity for the Mackay Region. Last year, the Brisbane show attracted over 74,292 people. It allows us to reach our primary domestic markets in South East Queensland - which includes mid life plus households, families, and those whose main method of travel is by private vehicle. This show only allows for the distribution of brochures from caravan park operators and tour/activity options - so perfectly focused on your market.
This is definitely one of the best promotional opportunities of the year for reaching the domestic caravan, camping and drive markets. Mackay Tourism will be attending the show to represent the region and we invite you to join us in promoting Mackay and your product.
This is an extremely busy show and we will require approximately 600 brochures from each participating member to last the entire length of the event.
Booking deadline is Wednesday 23 May 2012.
