Ball Bay offers secluded camping on a small grassy campground. The facilities include toilets, cold beach showers, wood barbecues and drinking water, however animals are not allowed. Fish off the beach in this small piece of paradise, surrounded by lush bushland. Ball Bay offers easy and close access to Cape Hillsborough National Park bushwalking tracks. In the early hours of the summer months it is possible to see Flatback turtles hatching.
Description
Mackay Regional Council operates the Ball Bay camping reserve located in some of the region’s most picturesque settings. Powered sites are not available. Pre bookings are not available for the Ball Bay reserve. Camping attendants will visit daily to collect fees. Camping fees for councils camping reserves.
Daily Camp Site (up to a max of six persons per site) $25
Weekly Camp Site (up to a max of six persons per site) $150
Additional persons (adult or child per day) $15 Schools / Non Profit Community Groups or Clubs (per head per stay) $8
