Overview

Description

The Brampton Island Peak Track is located in the Brampton Islands National Park. This park protects Brampton and Carlisle islands and is a natural haven for diverse plants and animals. Rocky headlands dotted with hoop pines, open grasslands, woodlands, sheltered bays, and long sandy beaches make Brampton Island one of the most scenic islands off the Queensland coast.

Explore the island with an invigorating hike up Brampton Peak, 214 metres above sea level. The walk from the jetty to Brampton Peak is steep in places, but you will be rewarded with splendid views of the mainland and Carlisle Island's steep forested slopes. Enjoy the surroundings and catch your breath at one of the bench seats along the way.

Allow three hours for this 6.6 kilometre moderately challenging hike.
