Jump on board and uncover some of Mackay’s hidden local producers. Learn first hand from the farmers and taste your way through the day sampling their many delights. Freckle Farm is their first stop where you are educated on the principles of a pasture based free range egg, pork and beef farm. Their next stop is Third Ground Coffee where you are treated to lunch that is sourced from local producers around the region. They then continue five minutes down the road to Sarina Sugar Shed where you are shown the growing, harvesting and crushing processes of sugar cane. Enjoy the opportunity of sampling all the sweetness that comes from their very own sugar cane. Their last stop is New Reef Hydroponics where you learn the fundamentals of hydroponic farming.
