The Busking by the Beach Festival is returning for 2019. Busking by the Beach is for families and music lovers alike to come together for a relaxed afternoon and support Mackay's local music industry. This year the event will feature original music written by our local musicians. Featuring: Gypsy Soldiers Battle of the Buskers - Their Busking by the Beach Festival will again feature the Battle of the Buskers contest! Watch as contestant perform their acoustic interpretation of well know songs as well as perform their own original music. Each contestant will be marked on their performance, stage presence and audience participation by their judging panel with the winner announced at the end of the competition. The busker/s who take out first prize will receive cash as well as a paid gig from The Seabreeze Hotel and a host of other prizes to raise their profile.
