Fun for the Kids at Mechanos 2018

Whether its aerobatic displays, slot cars or a Sensory Circus, there’s something for children of all ages at Mechanos 2018.

Kicking into gear at 9am on Saturday, 11 August, at the Mackay Airport, Mechanos will be fun for the whole family with Paul Bennet Airshows promising to thrill spectators with gravity defying stunts. Closer to the ground an array of custom and vintage cars and bikes will provide a fascinating insight into the past, present and future of automotive technologies.

There will be plenty of fun for the kids as well, with McDonalds presenting a special kids zone, full of exciting activities.

The always popular jumping castles, pirate ship amusement ride, face painting and slots cars are back this year.

A Mackay favourite, Sensory Circus Tribe are also sure to wow the crowds with their breath-taking performances.

General Manager of Mackay Airport and Chair of Mackay Tourism, Rob Porter, said there was something for everyone at Mechanos this year.

“Mechanos offers families an exhilarating and affordable day out. From slot cars, all the way up to the mighty Grumman Avenger, and everything in between, there will be excitement everywhere you look”.

Mr Porter continued “Mechanos promises to add to The Mackay Region’s many hero experiences and cement the region as a premier events destination”.
