Last Call as Competition Closes

Got a great shot of a Mackay beach? Did you visit Finch Hatton Gorge in the hols?

If you have a fantastic photo or video of a Mackay experience from the 101 Things To Do in The Mackay Region, now is the time to enter it for your chance to win.

Mackay Tourism General Manager Tas Webber said that The Mackay Region is “spoilt for choice” when it comes to entertainment, dining and nature experiences.

“It’s so easy to forget what we have in our own backyard,” Mr Webber said.

“One of my favourite entries so far in the competition is of a man facing a crocodile – not everyone knows that getting up close and personal with a croc is something you can do here, quite safely."

“Another one has been of a wallaby on a beach – I cannot highly recommend enough that everyone who lives and visits our region should make the effort to get up early to experience that for themselves, it is truly magical.”

The winning entry will receive the Explore Mackay prize pack, which includes a family weekend getaway at Broken River Mountain Resort for two nights, a family pass for a Forest Flying adventure, and a Platypus Lodge Restaurant and Café voucher.
