Merchandise & Souvenirs Stocked in Mackay
Mackay locals, and visitors to the region, can now find gift ideas and souvenirs across two locations, following the restoring today of merchandise sales at the Mackay Visitor Information Centre.
With merchandise now available at Mackay and Sarina, visitors are spoilt for choice when it comes to souvenirs and locally sourced products.
General Manager of Mackay Tourism, Tas Webber, explained the decision to restore merchandise sales to Mackay.
“The Mackay Visitor Information Centre, and the Mackay Region Visitor Information Centre, located in Sarina, are stocked with postcards, magnets, toys, produce, much of which is sourced from around the region”, said Mr Webber.
“Visitors to Mackay, are often looking for that special souvenir, something more than just a photo, something they can gift or share with their friends and family”
Julie Yeats, a Volunteer at the Mackay Visitor Information Centre is looking forward to sharing The Mackay Region to the world.
“It’s always a pleasure welcoming visitors to Mackay. Visitors leave with happy memories, great photos, and can now, also return home with great merchandise that celebrates our region”
Mrs. Yeats also encouraged locals to visit the information centre at City Gates to explore the new merchandise.
“We have a big range of excellent gift ideas, keep cups make a great companion, kids love the Platypus and Wallaby toys, and the sauces from the Sarina Sugar Shed are always popular”.
“With Christmas around the corner, why not pop in, you may just discover one of our regions hidden gems whilst you’re here”.
The Mackay Visitor Information Centre is located at 320 Nebo Road, West Mackay, and is open 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday. The Mackay Region Visitor Information Centre opens 9am to 5pm, 7 days a week, at the Sarina Field of Dreams Parklands.
