One week to go! Mackay Region Tourism Awards prep heats up

There is just one week to go until the top Mackay Region tourism operators are announced at the 2017 Mackay Region Tourism Awards. 

Preparation is heating up, with the announcement that 2017 My Kitchen Rules contestant, Della Whearty, will be MC for the night. Della will conduct a cooking demonstration with chef Pasta Rita, using local produce. 

Entertainment will also be provided by Stage Five throughout the night. 

The Awards recognise the outstanding achievements of the region’s tourism industry, including individuals, businesses (industry operators) and events. They encourage and promote the growth of tourism products and services.

The Awards cover 14 categories ranging from attractions, events, tour and transport, accommodation, restaurants and more.

The 2017 Mackay Region Tourism Awards will be held on Friday, 15 September from 6pm at Magpies Sporting Club. 

Public and tourism industry are invited to attend.
