Operators ready for Queensland Tourism Awards

Five tourism operators will represent The Mackay Region in the State’s capital this Friday, 11 November at the Queensland Tourism Awards.

The operators who have been nominated for an Award are:

  • Tourist Attractions: Sarina Sugar Shed

  • Tourism Wineries, Distilleries and Breweries: Sarina Sugar Shed

  • Excellence in Food Tourism: Sarina Sugar Shed

  • Outstanding Contribution by a Volunteer or a Volunteer Group: Sarina Sugar Shed

  • Unique Accommodation: The Feathered Nest – Luxury Wildlife Retreat

  • Standard Accommodation: Ibis Mackay

  • Standard Accommodation: Potter’s Oceanside Motel

  • Deluxe Accommodation: Riviera Mackay

  • New Tourism Business: Riviera Mackay

Tourism Ltd General Manager, Tas Webber, said the Awards are a chance for local operators to be recognised for their hard work and success in industry.

“It’s a great opportunity for operators in The Mackay Region to be recognised alongside some of the State’s best tourism providers.”

The Queensland Tourism Awards are hosted by the Queensland Tourism Industry Council (QTIC).
